The
secondary containment area needed to hold either
110% of the contents of the primary container, or,
if there were a number of containers within a certain
area, 25% of their aggregate storage capacity, whichever
was the greater.
The
deadline for compliance of these storage areas was
September 2003.
The
Second part of the regulations state that by September
2005 all* oil storage vessels require a secondary
containment area regardless of location.

We
can offer surveys and advice on the most suitable
way to provide impervious containment of your oil
storage tanks. If you already have a bund which
requires reinforcing to protect from leaks we can
offer the correct lining system to ensure you meet
the Regulation guidelines. We were able to assist
many companies by offering advice and site surveys
in relation to the above Regulations.
If
you require any further information on our containment
systems; if you require us to carry out a survey
of your site for containment capabilities or to
inspect your existing containment area, then please
contact us.

above is only a brief overview of the Regulations;
there are certain exceptions in relation to capacity/types
