Baker Environmental Lining Services Limited began in 2000 as a sole trader business founded by Darren Baker. Darren had gained extensive experience in the linings and coatings industry, having worked as a General Manager for a Company within the same field.

The business was founded on the good reputation Darren had gained, together with the practical knowledge and experience he had acquired in his previous role. Working from a small office and employing two operatives, in the early years Darren concentrated all his efforts into developing his specialist business to gain the awareness of a number of blue chip companies and associated businesses with whom he has formed solid foundations.

After three years in the linings and coatings industry, Baker saw substantial growth which forced the business to expand to larger premises and employ more staff, one of which was a leading sales manager with over 40 years experience in this field.

The business became a Limited Company in 2003 and went from strength to strength, enjoying subsequent financial success, doubling turnover year on year for the next three years and substantially increasing its client profile.
